Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 2025

At TinyToolkit, your privacy is fundamental to everything we do. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Since TinyToolkit is built as a 100% client-side application, the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

TinyToolkit is designed with a zero-data-collection philosophy for its core functionality. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Tool inputs and outputs — Everything you type into our calculators, paste into formatters, upload into image editors, or generate with our tools is processed entirely in your browser. It never reaches our servers.
  • Uploaded images and audio files — The Image Cropper, Image Editor, Image Format Converter, Image Compressor, and the Pomodoro ambient sound uploader all process files locally using the HTML5 Canvas and Web Audio APIs. Your files are never transmitted to any server.
  • Calendar notes — Notes you add in the Interactive Calendar are stored in your browser's LocalStorage, which is only accessible from your device.
  • Custom ambient sounds — Audio files you upload or add via URL for the Pomodoro Timer are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. They are not uploaded to any server.
  • Browsing history or tracking data — We do not use analytics tracking, fingerprinting, or behavioral tracking across sessions.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored locally in your browser (LocalStorage or IndexedDB). It never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings:

  • Calendar notes (LocalStorage)
  • Pomodoro timer settings, session count, and ticking preference (LocalStorage)
  • Pomodoro ambient sound volume preference (LocalStorage)
  • Uploaded or URL-added custom ambient sounds (IndexedDB)
  • Theme preference (light/dark/system) (LocalStorage)

3. Third-Party Services

TinyToolkit uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

a) Google AdSense

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

b) Hosting Provider (Vercel / Netlify)

Our website is hosted on Vercel or Netlify. The hosting provider may log standard server request information (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and operational purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

c) Supabase (Admin Panel Only)

Our admin panel uses Supabase for authentication and configuration storage. This is only used by authorized administrators and does not affect regular users. No user data is stored in Supabase.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We do not use any analytics or tracking scripts. TinyToolkit is deliberately tracker-free — no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar, no fingerprinting. This is a core part of our privacy promise. We'd rather not know who you are or what you do than compromise your trust.

The only third-party script that may set cookies is Google AdSense(if ad blocking is disabled). AdSense cookies are governed by Google's privacy policy and can be managed through your browser settings or the ads settings links in Section 3a.

5. Data Security

Because all tool operations happen client-side, the security of your data is inherently strong — your inputs never traverse the network. For the limited server-side components, we rely on industry-standard HTTPS encryption and the security measures provided by our hosting provider.

6. Children's Privacy

TinyToolkit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data from tool usage, most data privacy rights are under your direct control through your browser settings:

  • Clear all locally stored data by clearing your browser's site data
  • Disable cookies through your browser settings
  • Use the Pomodoro Timer's “Reset session count” button to clear session data
  • Delete individual ambient sounds through the Pomodoro Timer interface

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
